A "wicked problem"?

A wicked problem is one resistant to resolution; virtually impossible to solve because any “solution” usually creates other additional problems. Refugee advocate and government advisor, Paris Aristotle, believes the arrival of asylum seekers to Australia by boat is a wicked problem, in that it can not be solved, only better managed. He and three other guests spoke with me at the Noosa Longweekend festival about one of Australia’s most divisive and complex issues.  Some say it’s the greatest humanitarian crisis we face.
